About

I am an alternative photography artist.  A background in furniture upcycling and vintage dressmaking laid a foundation for my love of working with materials and transforming them. My photographic practice is known for its distinctive gilded work, blending alternative processes with the luminous beauty of gold, silver, and copper leaf. My aim is to create pieces that bring a sense of beauty, spark thought, and offer something truly unusual.

Over the years, I've been inspired by historical and alternative photography processes, as well as various printing techniques.  Based in the inspiring landscape of the South Downs where I grew up, I capture subjects like ancient trees and abandoned architecture, transforming them into atmospheric pieces that evoke haunting and dreamlike otherworldliness. My unique process invites you to see the world, particularly nature, through a different, shimmering lens.

In addition to my work on paper and canvas, I create sculptures from recycled vintage books. This reflects my deep love for repurposing and antiques, weaving discarded pages into delicate, organic forms, as well as encaustic photography and printmaking.

Fuelled by a constant flow of ideas and finding calm in my studio amidst personal health challenges, I pour love, into every unique, artwork, striving to create limited edition pieces that resonate and bring happiness to those who collect them.
