This was re-purposed from an old Pears Encyclopaedia, and made from many circular layers of hand rolled pages, merging history with art.   On the reverse, there is a beautiful handwritten note from "Mrs Button" in 1950 I have kept from the original book, making it particularly unique.   Features a vintage button, and measuring 14-inch in diameter.
 
These sculptures I really enjoy making and each one is unique, depending on the book that I source, the feel of the paper, its patina and my inspiration.  There are nicks and tiny tears and marks on the paper from age, and handling.  It will yellow a little and the paper edges curl with age, which adds to its beautiful patina.
